The Guild Marathon: The BC Browncoats get ready for Season 4!

The Guild Seasons 1-3 on DVD

LATE BREAKING NEWS!
AlanD passes on this news: Felicia Day joins the BC Browncoats so she can reply to her invitation:

Season 4 of The Guild is less than one week away!
Remember how hard Guild Deficiency Syndrome bit during the winter? How long the months stretched as we waited for news of Season 4 (except for those readers in the Southern Hemisphere, of course. For you it was a long summer :))? Well now the wait is almost over! Season 4 premieres on July 13th, so how should one prepare for this momentous event? Here's one suggestion:

BC Browncoats present: The Guild Marathon
I don't have to worry about making sure I'm up to date with everything because Serena from The BC Browncoats, along with Alan D "Masked Roger" Penguin-guy, have arranged for Seasons 1-3 to be shown at La Fontana in Vancouver this Saturday. Three Seasons in One Day will be a treat for Guildies and those who are Guild-curious, and hopefully it will be a Crowded House. Apparently there are *still* some people in the world who haven't seen Felicia Day in all her glory, so this will be a great primer for them, too.

On a scale of 1 to 10....
...it rocks! But are people really excited about the prospect of Season 4? How can you even measure that? I'm not sure but I think that this gives you an indication:

In 14 hours there were 2,471 likes and 233 comments to The Guild announcement on Facebook. That's not bad going! And, in case you were wondering, it also confirms that Season 4 will debut on both Xbox Live AND the web simultaneously.

Be there and be square!
I'll be at La Fontana on Saturday so if you are there say hello. I'm very friendly but, being English and all, I can be a bit shy. I can't promise any of the stars will be there but lots of cool people will be, so come along for some fun.

DVDs on offer...
Amazon.com has the Seasons 1 and 2 DVD and
the Season 3 DVD on offer at the moment, too:

(Sorry about these not lining up ok - I'm trying out the new Blogger/Amazon Associates integration and haven't quite sorted out how the images work o_O)

And don't forget the Season 3 Auto-tune Recap:

How are YOU going to prepare for Season 4?

The Guild S3 Hits YouTube and Felicia Day hits....Sean Becker?

Episode One of Season 3 posted on YouTube today
Every Friday we will be getting the next episode in all it's uncensored (and sweary) glory! Season 3 is also available on iTunes and from Amazon.com (see here for all the details) so if you can't wait to hear Wil Wheaton curse as roundly as Felicia then make sure you order soon.

As always, The Guild team love to hear comments about the show so if you didn't comment when S3 was released on MSN now's the time to let them know how much you enjoy this season. Commenting on YouTube is a doddle so no excuses for not doing it!

Felicia lies down on the set of RED!
The first pictures of Felicia Day in her new role in Red, the new SYFY production, have been released via Karen O'Hara on the @SyfyMovies twitter account:

However, news soon came in from @alalcoolj that the picture had actually been altered from the original. He had obtained a copy from some fellow Canadians showing that Sean Becker has been FIRED - FOR REAL THIS TIME?!?:

Then came the shocking news that Felicia, possibly in revenge for his recent misuse of her iPhone, had her sights set on another of the Guildie faithful, Edgar, as @alalacoolj posted this:

Felicia, as usual,  showed no remorse and simply posted a picture of her new hood accessory via twitter:

I hope Syfy know what they are dealing with....!

Felicia Day: Vampire Slayer turns Werewolf Hunter in 'RED'

Official at last - Felicia Day to star in Syfy movie, Red

(Felicia will be swapping Guild Gold for Silver Bullets in 2011)

After a few days of speculation we have confirmation that Felicia Day's newest venture is as a (presumably) kick-ass werewolf hunter in Syfy's upcoming movie, Red.

From the Syfy Press Release:

"Felicia Day, star of web videos The Guild and Joss Whedon’s Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-long Blog, who also played “Vi” in the final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will portray a werewolf-hunting descendant of Little Red Riding Hood in the new Syfy Saturday Original Movie, Red.

Scheduled to premiere in 2011, Red is Syfy’s latest re-imagining of classic fairy tales, legends and pop culture characters. The new line of films launched with Beauty and the Beasts: A Dark Tale, which starred Estella Warren, on February 27."

On the Scent
News that Felicia had landed a lead role in a movie came when she had to cancel her scheduled appearance at Emerald City Comic Con. Speculation abounded amongst Felicia's many fans about what she might be appearing in like @alalcoolj's Sexy Secretary guess:

while other commentators like @DeliciaFay took the higher moral ground and refused to join in:

(I'm sure Delicia was trying to put us off the scent by getting the reveal date wrong). Where Felicia was and what she was doing did surface last week after a post by the casting company (thank you to @beckotronic for the tip), but since people knew it was supposed to be under wraps it was kept quiet until the official announcement.

Hungry like the Wolf

Felicia had recently said at Farpoint that she had wanted to star as a villain with her dream job being a Sith Lord with KITT from Knightrider as her car (see this video for her full answer). This might not be exactly what she had in mind but it should let her flaunt her non-secretary acting skills. And maybe she gets to kill and maim at last. Can't wait to see Ms Day in action!
