Updates and observations: OH HAI INTERNET

Caution: Hubby at work!
So then, what's been going on with you? Seems like a long time since I wrote anything here but even I was shocked to see it was nearly 2 weeks! I'll be out of the Blogger's Loose Association with No Set Agenda at this rate. So - what have I been doing, I hear you ask? The answer is Pretty Cool Stuff. And because it is traditional for me to mark periods of not blogging with a megalistpost, here's a quick rundown:

  • Building Sets & Polishing Scripts for 'Mind My Brains, Darling!': new posts up on HigletFilms.com about our progress. And don't forget that you still have 23 days left to help us raise the last $239 we need to reach our goal on Indiegogo.com. A huge thank you to all the generous people who have donated so far - you rock!
  • Follow ups from VCON: We made some great new contacts at VCON and we're hoping to be able to share some more of this in the coming weeks. And I'll be publishing an interview with Alyssa Ciccarelli from Riese the Series on PinkRaygun soon. Riese is a Steampunk webseries that was launched in 2009. It has been picked up by Syfy.com and will be airing every Tuesday and Thursday on http://www.syfy.com/riese/
  • Fighting GDS with Legend of Neil and Jeff Lewis 5 Min Comedy Hour: Guild Deficiency Syndrome can be temporarily relieved by ingesting quantities of these two shows, although 'ingesting' might not be the word to use given the last 'Jeff Lewis...' ep. And next week is the LAST EVER episode of Legend of Neil, which is a whole other type of syndrome waiting to happen. Will our suffering never end? Yes, because 'Knights of The Guild' podcast is still running with new shows and competitions! Guaranteed to cheer up the most down-in-the-mouth Guildie :)
  •  IAWTV opens its doors to....everyone!: After months of debates, it seems the IAWTV has decided to allow anyone with an interest in webseries to register as a member. You might have missed this because it is not on the public IAWTV website or Twitter stream because there are issues in updating these sites. But Jack Ferry has done an admirable job of spreading the word, and it was this article by him that really got the ball rolling. Liz Shannon Miller wrote about the change on NewTeeVee.com and Tubefilter also reported on the changes. I think the challenges for the IAWTV are large but not insurmountable, and it will be interesting to see what happens. I think this a massive step in the right direction.
  • Castle - must-watch TV!: Ah, there are only 2 things I'm watching on TV atm and Castle is one of them. Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic and all deliver a dependable dollop of pure enjoyment.
  • Caprica - also must-watch TV!: From the ridiculous to the sublime? Possibly. All I know is that I love this show immensely and hope it is renewed for another season or five.

"Game On" catapaults The Guild to #1 again!

"Keyboard chemistry - my arse!" says Codex*

EXCITING UPDATE: Game On is now #1 music video in UK, US and Canada! Read more on Tubefilter.

Buy Game On - NOW!
As I blogged yesterday, after the online, FREE release of "Game On" on MSN/Zune network last week, today saw the official release of "Game On"via iTunes, Amazon and other outlets via Tunecore.com. It wasn't long before it was rising in the charts. Since iTunes is regional, I could only check on how it fared in Canada, but @TheGuild, @FeliciaDay and a cadre of Guildies was monitoring it around the world.

The UK was the first to take it to #1, and @GrrArgh broke the joyful news:

Game On had knocked off Shakira and Lady Gaga in the UK:

Back in Canada...
...I was watching as Game On hit number 4, then number 3 and finally rested at number 2:

The Guild had beaten Shakira, Eminem and Master Bieber - only Katy Perry withstood the assault. It was the same in the US.

What an amazing result!
Going head to head with massive, established stars and winning is a huge triumph for an independent webseries. Think about it for a moment. All the advertising and constant rotation these songs and stars get were no match for the power of The Guild. Awesome! To make things easy to find in your country,  Dani has put a list of International links on  on watchtheguild forums.

Behind the Scenes
If you want to know more about the shooting of Game On, I reviewed it on PinkRaygun last week - and here's a video from our good friend Greg Benson from the set!

MORE Guild Goodness!
Something else happened today, too - Season 4, Episode 3 was released! My review on PinkRaygun will be up tomorrow, and you can see the epsiode here:

<br/><a href="http://www.bing.com/videos/browse/originals/the-guild?videoId=8b02bc4f-0dc6-4a75-9317-80fe7809e59c&fg=sharenoembed" target="_new"title="Season 4 - Episode 3 - Oversupportive'd">Video: Season 4 - Episode 3 - Oversupportive'd</a>

*Obviously she doesn't actually say that. But she might be thinking it really hard :)

The Guild Game On and Legend of Neil Continues!

The Guild new Music Video: Game on

How do you top 'Date My Avatar'?
...by going to Bollywood! The epic new music video from The Guild, 'Game On', mixes a toe-tapping Bhangra beat with 'Gamer Pride' lyrics and features amazing costumes, dance moves and AN ELEPHANT! You will be able to buy it from iTunes and Amazon tomorrow, but you can see for yourself how awesome it is now:

<a game="" href="http://video.msn.com/?mkt=en-us&amp;from=sp&amp;fg=shareObject&amp;vid=8cb424dc-cbdb-40be-90c5-8fb450462d2f" target="_new" title="Season 4 - Music Video - ">Video: Season 4 - Music Video - "Game On"</a>

Lyrics and credits are on WatchTheGuild.com and Felicia Day has also blogged about it, explaining why she really didn't want to do this video and how happy she is with the result. I reviewed it on PinkRaygun last week and Knights of The Guild have a suitably epic microcast from Behind the Scenes. 'Microcast Episode #19: Quest for Bollywood' features interviews with Felicia Day, Sandeep Parikh, Kim Evey, Sean Becker - and so many more! Highly recommended.

Legend of Neil - Season 3 premieres!

'Quitters Never Continue'  picks up from the end of Season 2 and quickly fills us in on all that has happened to Neil since we last saw his woe-begone face. Things are on the up-and-up for Neil and he is safe in the bosom of his family. The joy never stops. But corn dogs and family bosoms aren't good enough for Neil, and he is still banging on about how he got trapped in that game and...some people just never know when to quit, do they? Lucky for us he is soon back where he was meant to be. Naked and sparring with a cranky old man.

There is the usual NSFW-ness, cracking dialogue and some new, vaguely familiar faces...Enjoy!

Season 3, Episode 2 will be out on August 10th (they are following a bi-weekly release schedule).

Here's an interview with Tony Janning just for good measure.

Webventures Finale - all that and more!

The Webventures of Justin & Alden - finale now up!

So then, what did we learn?
If you haven't seen the finale of Webventures then get watching now!

Mild Spoilers Ahead!
I don't want to give the ending away. It would take too much time since the conclusion is immensely fast-moving and, like sponsors Trident gum, layered. I suggest you watch it at least twice because you're bound to miss things otherwise. Of course Felicia Day is magnificent and she gets the prize (or she will eventually, one would think), but she isn't (dare I say it?) the star of show. Justin and Alden, or rather their (groan) "Manlationship", are/is the star. And don't forget to watch right up to the end because the last shot is priceless.

The healing power of cheese
As cheesy and contrived as the whole conceit is, it completely works for me. I said before that it was pitched perfect(ly) and the conclusion never wallows or grates. It just...works. And, more than that, it has helped me come to terms with the Streamys 2010. It has exorcised some of the bad mojo because Justin and Alden embody the spirit of what I wanted the Streamys to be about: having a dream, making it happen and hot vampires. Er, no...Friendship, journeys well travelled and bromance. Er...getting all your acquaintances together and putting on a show? Well, something like that, anyway.

Question time - Who IS Wilson Cleveland?
Wilson is a veteran of webseries creation and is the person behind the people behind "Webventures". Or something like that. What does that mean? I have no idea. And so I will be interviewing Mr Cleveland later today about his roles, what it was like to work with folk such as Sandeep Parikh, Tony Janning, Sean Becker and Taryn Southern, and what the future of branded webseries might be.

Give me your questions!
Sometimes, dear readers, you have to earn your keep. I can't be expected to think of everything, all the time! Mr Cleveland is expecting some intelligent questions and I have a deadline. So, rack your brains and send me your questions so it looks like I know what I'm talking about. Come on - I've not asked you to vote for anything in ages, so really you - owe me! Please?

Webventures is Pitching Perfect

The Webventures of Justin & Alden: now on your intertubes!
What would YOU do to get famous?
This is an interesting question and one that Justin and Alden are working through at the moment in their wacky Webventures. Episode three is now out and our hapless duo find themselves mixed up with some bad - and hot - company (with guest appearances by Scott Chernoff, Adam Leiphart, Jessica Rose, Douglas Sarine and Taryn Southern):

Sticking it to the basics
Webventures is multi-layered, not unlike the Trident Gum so artfully placed within each episode. On one level it is a buddy movie with the familiar standards of the less-than-smart slacker and his even-less-smarterer friend who are fighting against 'The Man' to achieve a dubious goal (where 'fighting' equals 'driving around in apparent circles', 'The Man' is their obscurity and the dubious goal is fame. And Felicia Day.).

Webventures is also a road trip where the guys live and love and learn. Just, you know, with not much of any of those things actually happening.

On another, slightly more elevated level, it is a stark indictment of the paucity of ambition in today's youth, where the only motivation to do anything is driven by a desire to achieve that most ignoble of goals - FAME! They want to live forever. They want to learn how to fly. Fame! Remember....What were we talking about again? Oh yes. Pie.

And the last layer is the same as the first. Like pie. It's a snappily-written comedy that manages to knit together most of the stars of the webseries firmament into a mostly-believable* narrative where product-placement literally provides cohesion. Where we go back to the future to when soap operas were a legitimate form of entertainment (and advertising), and George Washington roamed the earth.

Who is behind Webventures?
It might be easier to list the people in new media who aren't involved in some way with this series. From the writers Sandeep Parikh (Legend of Neil and The Guild) and Tony Janning (Legend of Neil) to the actors Justin Tyler and Alden Ford (both from Milk Men) and award-winning director Sean Becker (here's my interview with Sean), this webseries has a serious pedigree. And it shows.

What have we learned?
Webseries can be funny, knowing, informative and pay the rent. And former Presidents might try to jack the gas out of your ride.** You can tri-denting their reputation but once you've chewed it over you'll gob-solutely admire their tongue-in-cheek humour and won't want to burst their bubble.***

And now for something completely different....
Don't forget that Goodnight Princess Act 1 and Act 2 are now up on YouTube. The final Act 3 will be out next Monday and you can find out more here. We've had some really positive feedback so far - so yay for trying something new!

* My suspension of disbelief might be calibrated differently to yours
** I'm trying not to hold Sean Becker responsible for Kenny's recent troubles, but I think we all know who the culprit was.
*** You can blame Hubby for these. Sandeep and Tony have now legitimised his obsession with puns and now he Just. Won't. Stop.

Webseries: Something Old, Something New, Something to make you...

The Webventures of Justin and Alden, a new comedy with an impressive pedigree
A new webseries with some old friends

'The Webventures of Justin and Alden' occupy that sweet spot between knowing humour and self-deprecating shenanigans. And well it might, since it has been touched all over by the hands of some webcomedy masters. Written by Tony Janning and Sandeep Parikh (who collaborate so well on Legend of Neil) and directed by Sean Becker (you remember that guy?), it stars Justin Tyler and Alden Ford. As Tubefilter's Marc Hustvedt wrote last week, it also has a support cast to die for including Felicia Day and her ninjas. Nuff said - give it a try!

New to YouTube: The Guild Season 3: Ep 8 - +10 to Bravery
Another breath-taking episode from Season 3 is now up on YouTube. It has some brilliant action and lines in it, and you can read my review up on PinkRaygun.com.

Something....else?
Tomorrow I'll be posting Episode 1 of 'Goodnight Princess', a new mini-series. This is an internet play in three acts and marks new territory for me....More about it tomorrow!

The Streamys 2010: What can we expect tonight?

Felicia Day accepts (one of) her Streamy Award in 2009
They say you always remember your first time...
...and I certainly remember the First Streamys. It was a dark and stormy nig....er, no, that's not quite right. It was a highly exciting night. No one was sure of what to expect. Who would be there? Who would win? Who would scream the loudest if the live stream didn't work?

Sandeep Parikh and Felicia Day kick off the action in 2009
Breathlessly waiting
Like many people gathered on Twitter and WatchTheGuild chat room, I anxiously waited for the live feed to finally start. After a couple of small hiccups we were thrust right into the heart of the Streamys. Felicia Day and Sandeep Parikh set the ball in motion and the awards came thick and fast. For a great summary read this article from Tubefilter. It was an uplifting evening.

Jane Espenson (we are not worthy) tells us that BSG is like chopped liver in her 2009 Streamys acceptance speech
So many winners, a few surprises and lots of hard work rewarded. It's a bit of a blur but I managed to remember enough about it to cobble together a blog post. So what will we see this year?

Joss Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen accept the Dr Horrible Streamy in 2009
Vanity Fair gives us a taste
Surprisingly (to me, anyway), the only place I've seen any real hint of what's going to happen on the night has been in this article. No real spoilers except that Keanu Reeves will be there....and no word if NPH will sneak along just for the heck of it (we can hope).

Neil Patrick Harris thrills at the Streamys 2009 with tales of Nathan Fillion's junk
Submit to a night of web history
There will be winners and losers but we can all share in the experience of seeing the future of web entertainment blossoming before our very eyes. The red carpet pre-show starts at 3:30 PST and the ceremony itself starts at 5:30 PST. Make sure you are locked onto http://www.streamys.org/ to be a part of history and I'll see you there (and on Twitter)! I'll be adding pictures from the ceremony on my Flickr account as quickly as they will upload.

The Guild looked fabulous last year but....

Who hopes that The Guild will show up in their Avatar costumes?!?

Cocktails with Felicia Day and The Guild - TONIGHT!

Dark Horse Weekend at GoldenAppleComics.com in LA
...and meet Zach Whedon tomorrow!
Of course, to do so it would help if you lived in or near California, but fear not if you don't because Kenny from the Knights of The Guild (KOTG) podcast will be there to record a microcast, so we will be able to get the highlights from tonight's festivities. Once again KOTG deliver the goods!

The whole Guild cast will be there from 6:00 PM: Felicia Day, Sandeep Parikh, Jeff Lewis, Robin Thorsen, Amy Okuda, Vince Caso and Kim Evey, the Producer, will also be there. It should be some party. If you manage to get there don't forget to pop into The Guild chat afterwards (or even during!) and let us know how it went.

The Guild Comic #1
Sales of The Guild comic appear to have been brisk with many Guildies reporting that they have been sold out in local comic stores. And reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. On release day I popped into The Guild chat and people who had managed to get hold of a copy were really happy with the whole package:

Tarseith: I'm pleased on how it was done. From a comic, artisitic, and a Guild point-of-view - In short it is definitely a welcome addition to the Guild Universe

Osiromon: I can quote my local comic book dealer.  Lucky you pre-ordered, we're sold out.

These are the first editions, folks, and apart from being part of The Guild story, are something to tell your kids about (just make sure you get proper protective covers and don't, whatever you do, let you kids actually touch them! :)).

In completely unrelated news did you see that the First Superman Comic sold for $1m on 22nd Feb 2010?

First Superman Comic sold for $1m via BBC news
Makes you think, huh.....?

Lil' Guildies!?!
And we have to mention yesterday's shock announcement. Apparently someone let the cat out of the bag a day early about an animated Guild Series. Get all the details from WatchTheGuild.com and enjoy this amazing new creation here:

The Guild S3 Ep 6, Syfy.com and Legend of Neil gets dirty. Dirtier. Well, you know....

Another packed week!
I spent an eventful and awesome day in Vancouver on the Syfy.com press tour, visiting sets and Q&A panels for Stargate: Universe, Caprica, Sanctuary and Alice (a new mini-series airing on Dec 6th and 7th). I was there to report for PinkRaygun.com and I'll be doing my reviews there over the next few days. I met some great people and Syfy really pushed the boat out to make it an enjoyable experience. Stargate: Universe continues at 9/8c and Sanctuary S2 is starting tonight 10/9c.

The Guild S3 Ep 6 - Newbtastic
While I was rubbing shoulders with the Syfy stars, new episode of LoN and The Guild were released. My review for 'Newbtastic' is up at PinkRaygun.com. This episode was full of surprises and lots of Laugh Out Loud bits. Plus...well watch the ep and read the review! Felicia Day has also blogged about this episode and how much the writing evolved for the whole of Season 3.

Legend of Neil S2 Ep06 - The Fairy Strikes Back

Whose back the dirty fairy (played with relish by Felicia Day) strikes back at you'll have to watch to find out. Oh yes, and it's as Not Suitable For Work as it's always been :) This season has been so much fun it's sad to think there is only one more episode after this. Let's hope Comedy Central renew for Season 3!

The Guild S3, Ep 4, Michele Boyd (Riley) interview and LoN!

'Get it Back' is live!

(Wil Wheaton as Faulks in The Guild, Season 3)

The Guild Season 3 continues with another corking episode:

<a href="http://video.msn.com/?mkt=en-US&amp;from=sp&amp;vid=2db36212-baaf-4fe6-9cc5-cdefe4b27f40" target="_new" title="Season 3 - Episode 4: Get it back!">Video: Season 3 - Episode 4: Get it back!</a>

My weekly PinkRaygun.com Review is also up now, too, so check that out for a full review of the episode.  And as a special bonus for fans The Guild have released a gag reel for epsiodes 1-4:

<a href="http://video.msn.com/?mkt=en-US&amp;from=sp&amp;vid=2408c4d7-0526-464d-bb55-aee3c0543077" target="_new" title="Season 3 - Gag Reel: Episodes 1-4">Video: Season 3 - Gag Reel: Episodes 1-4</a>

Stand out moments from the gag reel are 'Wil versus the Flying Beetle of Death' and the 'beating the sun' tent moving - although the whole reel is hilarious.

Upcoming Interviews - next up Michele Boyd!

I had the pleasure of interviewing Jenni Powell this week and I will edit this video asap. We talked about all sorts of things and I asked Jenni all the questions I was sent, too. Well, almost all. There was one I left out (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!).

Early next week I will be doing an audio interview with Michele Boyd, who plays Riley (Stupid Tall Hot Girl), currently Zaboo's girlfriend in The Guild. Last week there was a big debate about Zaboo and Riley's seemingly-abusive relationship on PinkRaygun and I hope we can find out more about that plus the other exciting work Michele has been doing. As before, I welcome YOUR questions for Michele - what would you like to know? Michele is on Twitter and has her own website, too. I can't wait to talk to her!

Legend of Neil S2 Ep 5

In another hugely NSFW but bustingly funny episode from the LoN team, we see the gentlre side of Moblins. Up to a point. Or three. I have tried to embed the video but Blogger doesn't like the code - even though it plays in Preview mode. Silly Blogger...So I'm afraid you will have to content yourself with the Link, instead. TWSS.

Linkage love: Legend of Neil, The Guild and KOTG

Too many things all at once!
Yes, I know I was the one complaining about Guild Deficiency Syndrome and opining that there weren't enough good things to see and hear and now I'm complaining there's too much! Go figure. Comic Con, Date My Avatar, Season 3, Dragon*Con, BlizzCon, PAX....if that wasn't a fistful of goodies we also have Knight of The Guild updates and Legend of Neil Season 2!

In time-honoured fashion, then, I present a list of linkage lovelies

Legend of Neil - Season 2, Episode 4

Another excellent episode - and great news for Sandeep Parikh and Tony Jannings is that Legend of Neil occupies 7 out of the 10 top videos on Atom.com at the moment, with S2 Ep 03 (The Musical) #1. I took a screen shot for posterity. (And bonus points if you can tell me where Kenny and Jenni are in this episode!)

The Guild, Season 3, Ep 02

My review of this episode is up on PinkRaygun.com and it would be great to see some feedback over there (hint, hint!). If you haven't seen it yet - feast your eyes (it's another brilliant episode!).

Knight of The Guild Podcast - Microcast #7 - the Quest for BlizzCon

Kenny and Jenni have been working their little behinds off creating so many KOTG podcasts to cover all the happenings over the last few weeks, and they have done a sterling job! You can listen to their indepth BlizzCon report, which includes interviews and some Q&As from the Panel over at knightsoftheguild.podbean.com. And thank you, Kenny, for including the promo for the audiobook podcast of my novel, Turning Left at Albuquerque!

There is lots more to come from PAX and Dragon*Con, so I'll keep you posted :)

The Guild S2, Ep 7 Panic Attack on YouTube (plus Pax and Dragon*Con)

Relive the wonder of Season 2 on YouTube!
Season 2 continues to be posted onto YouTube with Ep 7 going live today. As ever, you can comment, rate and link if you would like - Felicia has always stressed how much she enjoys reading the comments.

I think Vork pretty much steals this episode - what do you think?

Pax 09
Tomorrow sees the start of Pax and some of The Guild crew are heading there already. Sadly, I won't be going (even though it's only 2.5 hrs drive away). Sandeep Parikh (Zaboo), Jeff Lewis (Vork) and Kim Evey (Producer) will be there though! Full details of their appearances are up on the Pax website and I put them up here a few days ago. Keep checking on the Pax site, though, just in case things change. Kim broke her foot recently while on holiday with her husband, Greg Benson (from Mediocre Films and so much more), so if you see her hobbling around make sure to give her gifts and sympathy. And go to Kim, Greg's and Sandeep's panel on Making a hit Webseries.

Plus, Wil Wheaton and Cricket Lee are already in Seattle for Pax! So many reasons to be there....sigh.

Dragon*Con 09
Meanwhile Felicia Day is going to Dragon*Con. I'm still not sure of what she is doing there but if I get a definitive answer I will let you know. Plus don't forget to find Jeff Carlisle, the brilliant who created some wonderful art for The Guild like this:

His work is many and varied - check out his website for more details. If I was going to Dragon*Con I would make sure I went to see Jeff.

And, of course, don't forget that Browncoats: Redemption will be premiering their trailer, too. I did an interview with the co-creator, Michael C. Dougherty on Whedonage.com last week and this promises to be a great event, so miss it at your peril!

Legend of Neil, Season 2 Episode 3 - Dragon style?!?

(Legend of Neil header from http://www.effinfunny.com/legend-of-neil)

Firstly - It's not my fault
I meant to post about this last thing on Sunday night (when I first saw it), and then again yesterday (when I watched it again), and now I'm finally doing it (after another view). Sorry, Sandeep, it's not you, it's me. I got distracted. Also...well...okay the thing is that this episode is so very funny and VERY, VERY WRONG! It takes a while to get used to...what...er...and it's so...and...

Let's start again
Right. Legend of Neil is written by Sandeep Parikh (who also plays Zaboo in The Guild) and Tony Jannings (who stars as Neil in LoN and who can't be bothered to get onto Twitter. He's too good for Twitter or something.). It follows the adventure of Neil, who 'somehow' gets sucked into Zelda, an old-school game. It's very funny and COMPLETELY NSFW. And this episode is EVEN MORE NSFW than usual. Plus, if you imagine Felicia Day as cute and unsullied then either don't watch or prepare to be gob-smacked. If it's any consolation I laughed like a drain all the way through and I suspect you will, too. And the music is brilliant! Oh, didn't I mention? This is the musical episode! Yes - everyone's at it and this is such a funny episode!

Don't say I didn't warn you!
You can watch it on Effinfunny.com or Atom.com. And if you liked it why not Digg it like so many have already?

Do You Want To Date My Avatar? is #1 (just like Joss said!)

(The Guild "Do You Want To Date My Avatar" graphic from datemyavatar.com)

Phew - what a day Monday was!
If you were on Twitter yesterday you would have seen that #datemyavatar was on the trending topics most of the day, and with good reason. While the video was available on iTunes in the US and Canada late Sunday night, it rolled over the whole globe yesterday, crushing all in it's path. Twitter was again a-buzz with news and comments about The Guild. And I'd like to point out I started writing this last night but more news came in, then some more and then....well, it didn't get done. So, to make it easy on me (and perhaps you, too) here's a brief list of the highlights.

  • Before 9:00 AM I check and "..Avatar.." is #13 in iTunes, Canada for music videos
  • 10:08 AM @theguild tweets: "#datemyavatar is #6 in top 100 iTunes pop music videos & #19 in all music videos (US). Let's get #1."
  • 10:44 AM @theguild tweets: "Contest time! Please tweet an "avatar pickup line" with#datemyavatar and a link http://bit.ly/datemyavatar" Prizes include shirts, autographed cast photo and SDCC goodies
  • 1:17 PM @theguild tweets: "Wow - #datemyavatar is almost #1 on iTunes for all music videos... Guildies rule http://bit.ly/itunesvideo"
  • 23:02 CET Joss Whedon posts this comment on a thread about the video on Whedonesque:
"Okay, usually I stay above such matters. But this video must be number one!!! Who is this Taylor Swift? Some evil robot, PROBABLY. (Although an evil robot vid would also potentially be cool.) (But fine! She can be number two!) The point is, I love this video to distraction (and inevitable procrastination). It has Felicia -- and money! Felicia LYING IN money! Combo-ed! Plus Vork, turkey legs, and the Solid Guild dancers! I care!

And I'm hobbled here, peeps. I don't twitter (I occasionally Glitter and Be Gay, but that's it), can't digg, or favorite, or friend... In fact I don't understand why my typewriter has a TV on it. I'M NOT SAVVY. But I really want this to be big. It's indie (which is the most important part), it's awesome, and it's made by people that I friended in the old-fashioned way of being friends with them. (Okay, technically, I brothered Jed before I friended him, but he's still super-talented.) So help me out. Let's go the extra mile here and DESTROY THE SWIFTBOT! Then I can get back to the business of making Dollhouse stranger.

D
igg deep, people.

Smoochez! -joss."
Now, I could go on. Seriously, yesterday was a real shift in paradigms and we were part of it. Those paradigms - all changed (and one day I'll learn what that word actually means!). Dani tweeted yesterday: "Is it weird that I, being just a fan, am so so so SO proud of @theguild right now? @feliciadayshould rule the world. Really. #datemyavatar" If it's weird then I'm weird too, because that's how I felt - proud.

And as a consequence of The Guild conquering all there is a metric crapload of blog posts from all over the interwebs. Luckily there's a neat way to view them all by looking at Friendfeed.

So many great posts...but I'll leave the last word to the one true b!x who posted this lovely little video this evening. The future is here, and you saw it first on an iPhone:
